TechSmith, the maker of Camtasia Studio, provides a helpful series of video tutorials that explain every step in the process of making a screencast.

Learning to use the program takes time -В perhaps four or five hours. This is a good format if you are going to upload your screencast to YouTube.Д¬amtasia Studio has many features, especially with regard to editing. After you have finished editing your screencast, you need to render it into a format that can be uploaded to the web. All of these things, and more, can be done during the editing stage. There might be sections in the screencast that you want to preface with a 'title card.' You might need to adjust the volume of your voice. There might be specific things on the screen that you want to highlight by means of a 'call out' such as an arrow or circle. There might be something that you want to insert -В for example, if you forgot to mention something. There might be parts that you want to edit out -В for example, if your phone rang during the recording or if you stumbled over a word. After you are done recording your computer screen, you have the opportunity to edit it. You can choose to capture your whole screen or just a specific section of it. Recording simply means that you begin to video capture your computer screen while narrating whatever appears on it. And it's all taught with hands-on, easy-to-follow instructions so you'll be using this powerful software on your own in no time.There are three stages to creating a screencast with Camtasia Studio: recording, editing, and producing.
